Are we what we eat?  "It's a very odd thing As odd as can be That what Miss T eats Turns into Miss T" - Walter de la Mare. What you eat affects how healthy you are, and being healthy is much, much more than not being ill! There are three aspects to eating - what you eat, what you don't eat and what you don't want to eat. These sessions are informal, so bring a notepad, your sense of humour and get your questions answered.  You will even be able to taste the end result! What you eat affects your mood and energy, your resistance to infection and can help fight disease and promote good health.  You don't have to radically alter your life-style - there are hundreds of small changes you can make to improve the way you feel mentally and physically. Come and learn the facts about food. We aim to suggest tasty, simple and alternative meals that won't stretch your budget or take all day to prepare.

Love food hate waste?

Every year in the UK we throw away £12 billion worth of food which could have been eaten. Wasted food is a waste of money and a major contributor to climate change. If we all stopped wasting food that could have been eaten, it would have the same environmental impact as taking 1 in 4 cars off UK roads. The Love Food Hate Waste programme from WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) has lots of tasty leftover recipes, top tips and date label advice to help us make the most of the food we buy. Keep an eye on our calendar page to spot upcoming courses and events.
